The WILD APPLE is here!!!!
Yes, it's true. One of the most glorious and coveted of the Bohus garments, the Wild Apple, has just been released as a kit for your knitting pleasure (in addition to the yoke style cardigan/pullover kit, the design is also available as a hat/scarf kit for those of you who want to dive in gently). The design, created by Kerstin Olsson in 1958, is one of the best known and most popular of the Bohus designs and it is now available for the first time ever in kit form for knitters everywhere.
The person modelling the Wild Apple in these two photos is Solveig Gustafsson's daughter Susanna - quite a coincidence, don't you think?
If you want to place an order, you may contact Solveig directly or place an order through Bohusläns Museum.
As before, the English translation is available without charge when you buy the yarn kit but you should feel free to make a special Bohus donation to one of my favorite charities, Doctors Without Borders. If you like, email Stephanie (aka Yarn Harlot) and let her know how much you sent. That way your contribution can become part of her sidebar total and you can be included among the growing list of Tricoteuses Sans Frontières.
