The Two-thirds Sachet is a beaded, scented treasure filled with lavender to protect your woolens. With 62 beads, 61 stitches and 38 rows, it’s the perfect quick gift that you will complete with time to spare. Use cream colored cashmere and pearlescent beads for an exquisite bridal gift or pink yarn and red beads for a special Valentine’s treat! At last count, my friend Laurie had made 89 of them so beware of the sachet addiction!
Off the Cuff: Basic beaded wrist warmers. This pattern features four different bead patterns, presented in chart form for easy reading. The detailed instructions make these cuffs an ideal project for newer knitters but more experienced knitters will enjoy them as well. Small projects like cuffs make perfect travel companions and depending on your choice of beads, you can add sparkle or elegance (or both) to your cuffs! These are the cuffs featured in my Off the Cuff class.
Opposites attract: (Un)matched beaded cuffs is a pattern for heavily beaded wrist warmers, inspired by a pair I purchased at the Knitting Symposium in Vasa, Finland in 2003. With so many beads, these cuffs can dress up any plain black top and make you ready for an evening on the town! The pattern includes charts for four different beaded patterns; you decide if you want to make an unmatched or a matched pair.
I am working on a couple of other ideas that I hope will translate into patterns soon. Sign up on my mailing list to find out when new designs are available.
